~ This early tonalist work by Elmer Wachtel was created around the turn of the century circa 1905, it was during this time Wachtel painted some of his finest works. It features a striking green, yellow and pink sunset, while being set against a darkened foreground of earth, shrubs and the silhouette of a California oak all done with rich browns, blues, purples and subtle greens.
