Morgan Russell (American, 1886-1953)

  • ~  In 1908 Morgan Russell along with Stanton MacDonald-Wright created in Paris the art movement known as Synchromism. Notre Dame Cathedral on the Seine was created by Morgan Russell in 1909 just a short walk from his Paris apartment. In it, Russell captured the mood of the famous river Siene, bustling people, traffic and the famous Notre Dame cathedral -- this painting is magnificent in person!
